Move!

Desert mountain range.

Genesis 12:1-4 (NKJV) 1 Now the LORD had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you. 2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you, And in you, all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” 4 So Abram departed as the LORD had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.

Abram (Abraham before God changed his name.) lived amongst his family and friends who worshiped idols. They didn't know God, and perhaps they didn't want to know Him. But God wanted to do great work through Abram but needed Abram to leave his familiar surroundings because of the distractions.

Now Abram didn't have a clue about where he was going. God told him to leave and go to a land he would show him. Abram left, not knowing where he was going, but trusted God. Some of us have to know all of the details of our journey before we leave what we know and might even refuse to leave, period!

Abram moved at the word of God. Abram left on a promise from God. It's a good thing he believed and obeyed God because we all are blessed. Abram didn't question God; he simply obeyed and moved.

Some of us have blessings in store, but God can't give them to us until we move from the spot we're in. We have to move from negative thinking, negative people, and negative places. God wants us to move from sinful lifestyles, come to the place He's calling us to, so He can bless us.

I pray you will decide to listen to the call and, come out from your familiar surroundings, and trust the Lord. “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” in the name of Jesus. Amen.
